Celebration of Easter
March 13, 2024, 6:00 PM

As we approach the celebration of Easter, we need to prepare our hearts to commemorate the ultimate sacrifice and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We must remember that He is the risen Savior, the Son of God, and our redeemer. Not just another holiday full of eggs, chocolate, and easter bunnies.

Easter is the epitome of our faith in Jesus, who has risen from the grave and walked among men for forty days.  Then He ascended to heaven to prepare a place for us, the heirs of the throne.

Here are some meaningful ways to prepare for this most important celebration of our risen Lord.

Daily prayers focusing on the death and resurrection.  Meditating on what it means to be a child of God and His promises.  Remembering His suffering, His broken body, and blood on the cross.  He suffered a painful death for our sins. Pray about His victory over death and how someday, we will experience the same.

Read the Bible concerning His death, burial, and resurrection.  Come to know what He did for each of us and know the way to become a disciple of Jesus.  No one can come to the Father except through Jesus Christ.  He is the way, the truth, and the life. Fan the flames of the holy spirit within your heart.

May this Easter season be a time of deep reflection, gratitude, and joy as we honor the One who conquered sin and death.
