26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. (Matthew 6:26-29 NIV)
We worry...
We worry about many things: what to wear, work, our looks, who likes us, and so on. We tell others that they shouldn't worry, but we don't follow our own advice. Some people worry so much that they become anxious, or get ulcers. Some may go so far as to feel there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
We need to realize that God loves us as we are. We are all different and we are not all going to look like a supermodel. We all have value and Christ died for our sins so that we could be saved. And by Christ's sacrifice and God's grace, we are saved.
So, don't worry about the small stuff and bask in God's love. You are loved by God.
We hope to see you at church or on our live Facebook feed on Sunday mornings at 10:45 am.
